# Pagination

Source: https://design.ritchiebros.com/components/navigation/pagination/

Use pagination to let people move through an ordered collection of items that has been split into pages.

## Figma

The Figma reference for **Pagination** will appear here once the design link is added.

## Storybook

Interactive examples for **Pagination** will render here once the Storybook link is wired in.

## Best practices

- Use it for lists long enough to warrant paging (roughly more than 25 items).
- Place it at the bottom of a long, paged list.
- Navigate to the previous and next set of items.
- Hint that people are on the first or last page by disabling the corresponding control.

## Do’s and don’ts

**Do:** Disable the previous/next control at the boundaries of the collection.

**Don’t:** Leave both controls always enabled, letting people page past the ends.
